Welcome to the Core Recruitment section of the website.. There are a couple things you need to know about our guild before you apply. Please take this seriously, as it will only waste your time to not read this thoroughly.
1) We are a "casual" guild. I put this in quotes for a reason. You are more than welcome to become a hardcore member in our guild. You can run raids every day. We will be running raids/dungeons very often, but your attendance is OPTIONAL. We will never come down on a member for their attendance. Please be aware, if you are looking for a guild to progress through instances as fast as possible, we are not that guild.
2) We are a mature guild. There is a time and place for immaturity. We all have immature moments, but the raid scene is not a place for it. We can not, and will not tolerate immaturity while in a raid situation. If you do not think you can handle this, look elsewhere immediately.
3) Public image is of utmost importance. This means you will wear the Core name proudly. You will not dishonor yourself in any way, and we ask that you uphold yourself in a mature, positive manner outside of our guild. For example, it would be in your best interest to not post what boss we just downed, what guild you think we are better than, or just not post in the public realm forums at all. This is a rule we will watch VERY closely. Just use your best judgement.
4) Research, and class knowledge are the most important factors. Gear doesn't matter to us. What we do care about, is that you extend your utmost effort, to play your class better than any person has played that class before. When you come into a raid with us, we expect you to have researched the bosses associated with that instance. We also expect you to come prepared. Pots, Enchants, etc. are very important. We understand that gold isn't the easiest thing to come by, but we ask that you put forth an effort to this rule.
5) Communication. This is extremely important to us. We will never just boot a person from our guild for doing 1 thing wrong. We will talk to you in whispers, let you know you have done something wrong, and work with you to fix this issue. If we see this continue to happen, and not get fixed, then we might have to remove you from the guild. But communication is the key to any good raid. If you are confused, please ask an officer or class leader. No one will ever be publicly or privately humiliated in Core.
6) We are all friends. This guild was started by 13 people that know each other very well. We want you to become a member of this family. We want to be able to talk to you like any of the other 13 people. We all feel that knowing each other strengthens the guild like no piece of gear, weapon, etc. ever could. So if you aren't friendly, don't apply.
7) The most important point of all. We are a guild that has FUN with the game. We take ourselves seriously, but most of all, we play this game to have fun. If you aren't having fun, what else is there. If you are the kind of person that starts treating this as a job, expect to be removed from our guild.
